These are the points and participants in the 2008 challenge. To see the 101ers from the 2007 challenge, click here.

These are the brave people who have entered the challenge so far. Now, whether they're owning it or sucking at it depends on the little number beside their name - those are the points they have earned through this challenge.

Points are earned from these categories:

Creativity -(Out of 5)How original, and creative your idea is. The more original and spaztastic, the more points you recieve.
Methodology -(Out of 5) How you go about accomplishing your goal, the small details like how well made your chicken costume.
Difficulty -(Out of 5) It's not very fair giving someone the same amount of points for making a pet rock as for performing street magic (even though making a pet rock is very difficult!), so the more difficult a task is the more points you get.
Biggiosity -(Out of 5) Guys the truth is, Size does matter. The bigger and more extravagant your submission, the better.
Uberosity (Bonus Points) -(Out of 10) Bonus points for those special things that just makes your form of public humiliation that much better than the rest.

Judging is done by Sarah or Nick - whoever first comments on the task.

If you are a resident of Auckland, New Zealand and want in on this little game, all you have to do is comment with your first name and last initial (full last name if you want, but we can't guarantee this community is stalker-free). If you have a particularly unique first-name, don't worry about the last name. We shall add you to the list, and give you posting access - the rest is up to you!

Here's the overview of the points so far. The current leader is in bold.

HAVE YOU DONE THE 101?
Well of course you haven't, the 2008 challenge isn't open yet

This post is more a separator than anything you should go out of your way to read. In case anyone was wondering (hah, yeah right), the 101 WILL be seeing another year... and hopefully a more productive year than 2007. The 2008 101 Challenge will kick off some time in mid-February, but we'll be taking sign ups before then. The sign-up post will be up late jan-early feb, as will the completed list for this year. It differs only slightly from last year's list, so if you enjoyed participating last year, there's no reason why you shouldn't give it a go this year too.

Another thing which differs from last year is the markers. Sim (xscribblex) and I have... shall we say, fallen out of contact, so taking over his position will be one of last year's participants, Nick (greenday_rulz21) - and yeah, he's my cousin, whatcha gonna do about it? Like you're not biased towards YOUR family. But, of course, if anyone else would like to volunteer to be a marker, just reply to this post. We could always use more hands.

You might remember that last year, the 101 Challenge was only open to New Zealand residents. Sorry, but it's the same again this year. However! Don't lost hope! If you're from outside of New Zealand and you're dying to complete (or have already completed) one or more challenges on the list, instead of posting it here on the journal, e-mail it to me (home-on-the-highway67 [at] hotmail [dot] com) with your Name, city and country (and state, if you're from the U.S) and it'll be displayed in a section of the profile entitled 'The 101 International'.

...You just went to look for it, didn't you?

...it's not there, is it?

...

Well of course it's not there yet, silly. We'll put it up as soon as we get our first international entry (which, of course, we haven't got yet) Or it might go up earlier, if I feel like putting it up early. Either way, when it does go up, there'll be more info on how all you international folks can participate.

One last thing, the list obviously isn't finalized (or, alright, even finished) yet, so if you have a brilliant idea that you'd love to see people attempt, please do let us know! Again, if you just post it in a reply to this post, we'll consider it and (most likely, cause do you have any fricking idea how hard it is to come up with 101 dumb-ass things to do?) add it to the list.

(written with a felt tip marker) Yah, I must admit this is not the hardest thing to do :P but it IS hard to write it backwards in the bathroom mirror! I would have walked around in public with this on my forehead, but alas, my camera needs batteries and I cannot take pictutres any further than about a metre from my computer! *sigh* but here it is anyway...and when i do get batteries or the chance to use another camera i will go out and about and do so XD

(No realy! I'm not!) *run's off crying*  HA HA!

Ok here is task number 81, its an assignment. How those work is you have a week to do the task, and put it up. Then at the week me and sarah check them out, give the best 30 points, the 2nd best 20 points, and everyone who enters 10 points. Pretty easy peasy mc greasy. So get it in.

This weeks assignment, find yourself a mascot. You have to find it, no making them or anything. Some serindipity will be required for this. Then after finding your soulmate (mascot) pimp it up, personalise it. Make it your own. Questions? Ask away .

Hello everyone,

This is my second entry for The 101, #27 - Send an angry letter to a company or organisation.

I sent my angry letter to Chillow - Chillow makes cool pillows to put into or on-top-of your pillow to cool it down.
This is why i'm angry at Chillow,

I sent an E-mail to them a couple of days ago, I couldn't write to them cause they're in America.

You guys probably know but to veiw larger click on the image then click again.

A couple days after sending that I recieved a reply (This morning) from a agent in the UK and the Chillow Executive Vice President in America.

Heres what they said.

UK guy.

American Executive Vice President of Chillow.

And just so you know we actually had one and got a refund becasue they suck!! but the names fun to say! CHILLOW. lol
And please note in the last pic of their email to me, all the other people he sent my email and reply to!!! - I just noticed that.

Yeah, well this my attempt at No.77 A map of the world made from a lot of crap xD

It's pretty pathetic and you really have to use your imagination for it but I just wanted to actually have one done.

It was made using (a/an):

Jumper
Small warehouse plastic bag
Sellotape
Post it notes pad
A sock
Hairtie
Slipper/jandal thing
Moneybox
Sheep soft toy
Ronald McDougal (Teddy bear backpack)
Underwear xD -(deserves extra points I'd say)
Keys
Ruler
Glue stick
Ribbon
Cloth hair band
Comb
Highligher
Lid of a box thing
Set square
Eraser
Broken bit of a tiara
Two broken bits of rosin
A 9V Battery
Barbie doll shoe
Scrunched up Bank Statement
2 crayons
2 pencils
38 pieces out of a 1000 piece puzzle set

Here's the reference map:

And here's my attempt:

Yup xD...you really have to use your imagination...and it would be pretty useless as a map really (unless you're wondering how to get from underwear land to sockland xD) and its definately not to scale...

Meh, Do the 101...
